PC Error Codes
What Exactly Are PC Error Codes
Understandind Error codes is one of the most frustrating things for pc users. What are error codes? Error codes are messages you receive by various functions which indicate the the failure of any type of requested operation.
This can be anything from trying to open a program, to even shutting off your pc. These codes tell you when something is not functioning properly. Error codes tell you information about where the specific error occurred, as well as what went wrong that triggered the error message.
To further explain, error codes are shown as numbers (or a combination of numbers and letters) and are used to identify specific problems in Windows and other programs.
Here is a short video that talks about the leading cause of errors, and the easy solution:
PC Error Codes Further Explained
To further explain, in the beginning error codes weren’t meant for users, they were originally designed for developers and software support staff.
Error codes to this day are still a vital functional counterpoint to knowledgebases, since they allow professionals to solve problems in an organized and consistant manner.
In other words, if they see a specific error code on two systems, they can safely assume both problems are of the same in nature. Error codes can also be described as a dictionary of sorts for pc technicians and software developers.

Types Of Error Codes
Error codes are normally identified by unique numbers, with each one indicating a specific issue or rising concern. In other words, think of error codes as groups of tightly knitted issues, each having their own assigned number, or ‘code” if you will.
Microsoft typically doesn’t include very descriptive error messages within it’s code. Below are some group definitions to give you a rough idea of what we’re talking about:
1) Error codes 15, 16, 18, 26, 27, 29 30, and 31: These tell you when a specific system file is damaged. These errors are usually non-informative as to which file specifically, however the code itself does narrow down the playing field.
2) Error codes above 1024 are typically reserved for specific applications, and are not used by the windows system library.
3) Error codes 400 and 500: These are most commonly seen by pc users. these errors are typically casued by a pc that has not been well maintained, a common practice by a majority of pc users.
